Redevelopment of the former Union Mill property into a senior-living community appears to be off, according to the city’s mayor.
Union Mayor Harold Thompson said he hasn’t heard from the developer, Cardinal Real Estate Group, in several months.
“I think it’s safe to say at this point that the project is dead,” Thompson said.
Cardinal is the same developer now in foreclosure by the city of Greer over the planned redevelopment of the former Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital campus on Wade Hampton Boulevard.
