S.C. seeks solution for old building surplus

The search is on to find solutions for the state’s surplus of older buildings made for manufacturing needs of the past.

Many of these buildings remain vacant as economic developers struggle to attract new businesses willing to upfit them. Some advocate using state incentives to either demolish or revitalize previously used manufacturing buildings.
