February 9, 2012Larry Webb, Principal at KDS Commercial Properties, was recently named “Sweetheart Of The Year” at the annual Meals On Wheels of Greenville annual charity ball. This award is presented annually by Meals On Wheels of Greenville to an individual in recognition of his or her exemplary support and volunteer efforts to the community and the mission of the organization. Larry was recognized for his leadership in founding and directing the Wheels For Meals annual cycling event that has raised over $500,000 for Meals On Wheels since its inception. He was also recognized for his 6 years of leadership on the Meals On Wheels board of directors in which he served two years as Chairman. Doug Harper, Chairman of the Harper Corporation, who presented the award to Larry at the banquet on behalf of MOW stated “I know where Larry’s heart is and I know he has been passionate about serving Meals on Wheels. He has inspired me and many others in the community to get involved. He is a wonderful person, very deserving of this tribute and it is my privilege to present the 2012 Sweetheart of the Year to him”. In 2010 Larry also received the Association of Fundraising Professionals Philanthropist Of the Year award for his work and contribution to Meals On Wheels.
