April 9, 2012Prices for commercial real estate property have been on a wild ride in recent years. As was the case in the single-family housing market, commercial property prices increased rapidly during the middle of the past decade but then took a nose dive during the Great Recession.
According to the CoStar Commercial Repeat Sale Indices, which uses a similar methodology as the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices, commercial prices have moved up from the bottom, but remain below their credit-inflated peak in 2007.
