Through the efforts of the KDS Cycling Team, we raised over $18,450 for this year’s event, providing over 3,652 meals to our homebound community making us the top team in the 2018 Wheels For Meals Team Challenge! The entire KDS Commercial Properties team participated in this fundraising event on Saturday, April 28th — some cycled for funds or manned the water stop while others offered their photography skills, arrived early to setup and stayed late for take down — together, we are dedicated to serving this community!
Wheels For Meals, the Meals On Wheels of Greenville signature cycling event, was established in 2007 by one of our own, Larry Webb, principal at KDS Commercial Properties and past Chairman of MOW Greenville. The Wheels For Meals event has become the 2nd largest fundraising event for Meals On Wheels of Greenville behind its annual Sweetheart Ball black tie gala. Since its inception, Wheels For Meals has raised over $1,356,505 which has provided over 271,301 meals, free of charge, to our homebound community.
2018 also ushered in the 50th Anniversary of Meals on Wheels of Greenville . . . 50 years of enhancing the quality of life for homebound individuals by providing nutritious meals, personal contact, and related services.
