Cogdell Spencer sold to Ventas, Inc

A Chicago-based medical real estate investment trust has agreed to buy Charlotte’s Cogdell Spencer Inc. for $760 million.
Ventas Inc. announced it has agreed to buy the Charlotte company for $4.25 a share. The deal is expected to close in the spring.
